Welcome to Best Friends Dog School.
We are committed to caring for every guest with kindness, professionalism, and respect.
By booking any of our services — including boarding, daycare, training, grooming, transport, or events — you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
Best Friends Dog School reserves the right to refuse entry to any animal that appears unwell or poses a health or safety risk to others.
🦴 Behaviour & Safety

Owners must disclose any history of aggression, reactivity, fearfulness, or bite incidents.

Behavioural assessments may be conducted before acceptance into any program or stay.

Dogs must wear a flat collar or harness. Choke chains, prong collars, or electronic collars are not permitted on our premises.

Dogs must remain on a leash unless supervised in a secure camp or play area.

Owners are liable for any damage or injury caused by their dog to other animals, people, or property.

The proprietors and staff will take every precaution for the safety of all dogs, but owners accept that animal interactions always carry inherent risk.
🏡 Boarding Conditions

Drop-off & collection hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (unless otherwise arranged).

Both arrival and departure days are charged to allow for feeding, supervision, and thorough cleaning and preparation of each unit. Even when collected early, dogs continue to receive care until pickup time.

No arrivals or collections outside office hours without prior approval.

Accommodation and all additional costs must be paid in advance or settled before collection.

Dogs left longer than five (5) days after the scheduled departure, without communication, will be considered abandoned and may be surrendered to the SPCA or a registered animal welfare organization.
💳 Bookings, Deposits & Cancellations

A deposit is required to confirm all bookings.

Cancellations:
-
More than 72 hours before arrival = 100% refund.

Within 48 hours (non-emergency) = 30% of the total accommodation bill plus 100% of any direct costs (e.g. tick & flea, deworming, or other pre-delivered services).

Peak holiday seasons = no refunds.

Early collection does not qualify for partial refunds.
🐾 Health & Vaccinations

For the protection of all guests, no booking will be accepted without proof of up-to-date vaccinations in line with veterinary and facility requirements.

Dogs showing signs of contagious disease or parasites will not be admitted, even if previously booked.

Best Friends Dog School maintains a strict parasite control program. Should treatment or preventative medication be required during a stay, the cost will be added to the owner’s account.
🩺 Veterinary Care & Emergencies

In case of illness or injury, owners will be contacted immediately.

If the owner cannot be reached, the proprietors will act in the best interest of the dog, seeking veterinary attention as needed.

Veterinary choice may follow kennel policy or the attending veterinarian listed on the dog’s intake form.

All veterinary and related costs are for the owner’s account.
🍽️ Daily Care, Food & Water

All dogs receive clean, fresh water daily and are fed a high-quality diet appropriate for their size and needs.

Owners may provide their dog’s own food if they prefer to maintain a consistent diet.

Feeding times and routines are monitored closely to ensure every dog’s comfort and wellbeing.
👩👧 Owner Responsibilities

Owners must ensure they are satisfied with the accommodation provided before confirming a booking.

All medical conditions, dietary needs, and behavioural notes must be disclosed in writing at check-in.

If dogs from the same household are sharing accommodation, owners accept responsibility for any fights or injuries that may occur between them.

Best Friends Dog School, its staff, and agents will not be liable for loss, illness, escape, or injury beyond reasonable control.
📸 Photos & Media

Dogs may be photographed or filmed during their stay for updates or marketing purposes.

If you prefer your dog not to be featured, please inform us in writing before arrival.
⚠️ Liability

While every reasonable precaution is taken, owners acknowledge that dogs are living beings and interactions can carry risk.

Best Friends Dog School, its owners, staff, and agents are not liable for injury, illness, loss, or escape, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Owners accept responsibility for any veterinary expenses, damage, or legal claims arising from their dog’s behaviour.
🚗 Transport & Collection

If we assist with transport (“Dog Taxi Service”), animals travel at the owner’s risk.

We ensure all vehicles provide safe restraint, proper ventilation, and comfort during transit.
🧾 General Terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services offered by Best Friends Dog School, including boarding, daycare, training, grooming, transport, and events.

Updates or revisions to these Terms will be posted on our website and supersede prior versions.

Confirming a booking or paying a deposit constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

Clients are required to sign our Waiver & Release of Liability before their first service.
